LIGHT PENALTY IPOSED, [ey telegraph.—own correspondent.] OPOTIKI, Thursday. In the Police Court to-day, before Mr. W. G. Kenrick, S.M., Peka Kora, aged 26 years, was charged with being drunk •while in charge of a motor-lorry. He pleaded guilty and expressed regret. His explanation was that his mother had died. The magistrate took a lenient view of the offence under the circumstances and fined Kora £2. Kora was also given a severe warning.
