The Rev. W. P. Rankin, of Cromwell, Central Otago, has received a call from the New Lynn Presbyterian Church.
Mr. S. Clifton Smith has resigned his position as headmaster of King's School, Remuera, as from the end of tiie year.
Mr. Y. A. H. Clark, of Melbourne, Mr. F. C. Holmes, Mr. F. 11. Morton and Mr. W. L. Newnham, of Wellington, are at the Star Hotel.
Colonel B. Woodhouse, of London, Mr, H. C. Fahle, of Melbourne, and Messrs. D. Bauchop, E. Fay and \V. E. Jackson of Wellington, are at the Grand Hotel.
Commissioner Hoggard, head of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, who has been in Auckland in connection with the Young People's Week, left for Welling ton by train last evening.
Mr. A. T. Hookey, of Gisborne, Mr. W. M. Kelly, of Palme/ston North. Mr. G. O'Rourke, of Pahiatua, and Messrs. H. Garrow and L. Allen, of Wellington, are at the Central Hotel.
Mr. H. M. McDonald, of Matamata, Mr. F. Cunningham, of Wangaiuu. Mr. F. Carroll, of Ohakune, Mr. M. J. RM>l\ of Rotorua, and Mr. C. M. Francis, of Wellington, are at the Royal Hotel.
The Rev. H. J. Ryhurn, of Christchurch, has been appointed Presbyterian minister at Kaikohe, North Auckland. Mr. Ryburn is a New Zealand Rhodes scholar and only recently returned from England, the present being h:s first charge.
