OVERALL NEGLIGEE.

The "Overall negligee" is the very latest novelty that is displacing the old, time-worn dressing gown or kimono, which was once so dear to Madame's heart.

It came in by way of a charming actress at ono of the big Boulevard theatres and was immediately adopted by the smart modern woman, who realised with what ease and comfort the morning's toilette could be made in such a garment. There are no flowing sleeves, entangling furbelows and ruffles. Then, besides all this, it is chic enough to be worn to receive one's intimate friends at lundh. The original model comes in overalls of heaviest black satin made just like the old blue-jean variety with straps over the shoulders, large pinkish pearl buttons and a peach-coloured blouse. Tho mules and stockings are of the same tone as the blouse, which has a broad collar and cuffs in points. The dressmakers are showing any number of pretty combinations in these overall styles. Palo blue comes with gold and a charming combination comes in two tones of tho popular bois do rose with two large pale green buttons in front to hold up the suspenders. Some of tho new printed muslins and silks make charming blouses to wear with plain overalls. They also come in sheer chiffon to make a very dressy indoor costume. Calvayrac is showing a new model called "Paul Neron" with overalls in rose moire and the blouse of white with collar and cuffs of black satin.
