PLANS OF A CRUISER.
STORY OF LOST DRAWING. NO ESPIONAGE INVOLVED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (F.ecd. 7.5 p.m.) . LONDON. July 26. It has now been ascertained that no question of espionage was involved in the loss of plans of the cruiser Suffolk. These were believed to have been copied. However, it transpires that an officer who was engaged on the work of construction made"a drawing for his own information. This he lost, but he states that it disclosed no confidential information. Th£ authorities are satisfied with the officers explanation.
