THE SOCCER REFEREES.
SEQUEL TO DISPUTE: MATCHES NOT INTERRUPTED. The majority of the Auckland Football Association referees carried into effect on Saturday their decision not to control the senior, second or. third grade matches assigned to them. However, eight members of the association fulfilled their engagements, and with the assistance of other qualified referees w-ho are not association t members, it was possible for all the matches to be played. The Management Committee intends to observe Saturday's procedure for the rest of the year if necessary. In view of the shortage of referees, and in order that club matches will not be interrupted during the remainder of the season. The secretary, Mr. L. C, H. Dawson, would welcome offers of assistance from any followers of the gama who consider themselves competent to act as referees.
