LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS DEVONPORT AND MARIST. CARLAW, PARK ATTRACTION. The senior grade competition of the Auckland Rugby League will be continued to-mor-row, when the prinoipal game at Carlaw Park will be played between Devonport and Marist. Taking their showing last Saturday against Richmond as a guide, Devonport have improved and at present their splendid attacking methods are worthy of a team much higher up on the championship, table. Marist, on the other hand, have worked their way into the lead, and although they may not be an outstanding attacking team, they have the happy knack of rising to the occasion, and their solid combination will make them hard to defeat. The game should be quite as interesting as the firstround contest betwen the two teams. ■ On No. 2 ground Ponsonby will play Newtpn. The former team should have little difficulty, in winning. At Victoria Park City will meet Richmond, who will be strengthened by the inclusion of several of last week's absentees and a good game should .be witnessed. In the B section Otahuhu will play Northcote At Carlaw Park and on No; 2 ground Kingaland will play Parnell. Ellersße will meet Mangere at fcllerslie. Teamß are as follows: SENIOR GRADE.
