Eleven teams havp nominated for the Auckland Rugby Union's Pollard Cup competition, which commences to-morrow afternoon Pride of plaoe at Eden Park has been allotted to the Grafton-North Shore match. whicn not only affects tho cup competition, but also decides whether the B section champions will succeed Grafton in the senio, A grade next year. Last season North Shore met College Rifles under similar conditions, and failed to earn promotion The teams appear to be well matched, and there is promise of an interesting game. The second fixture at Eden Pari? is betweeD the 8 section teams, Ellerslie and Suburbs. Ponsonbv and University will play at the Showgrounds, Marist and Newton at Victoria Parn and College Rifles and Manukau at Onehunga.
