AIR FORCE DEPOT.
NEW COMMANDING OFFICER. CAPTAIN J. L. FINDLAY, M.C. [by telegraph.—own correspondent. ] CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday. The appointment has been gazetted of Captain J. L. Findlay, M.C., as officer commanding the New Zealand Air Force Depot, Wigram Aerodrome. Captain Findlay, who is a son of Sir John Findlay, K.C., has been tho flying instructor at Wigram. He saw considerable service on the Western Front in the Great War, not only in the Royal Air Force, but as an officer of an English infantry battalion. He was wounded while serving in. the infantry. He is a well-known cricketer and last season gained representative honours for Canterbury. Captain L. M. Isitt, who has relinquished the position of officer commanding the New Zealand Air Force Depot, has proceeded to England for attachment to the Air Ministry for a period of 18 months.
