SOUVENIRS FOR INDIANS.
END OF THE HOCKEY TOUR. RETURNED SOLDIERS' GIFT. An interesting ceremony was held yesterday afternoon at the Evelyn Firth Home, Parnell, on the occasion of a visit of the native members of the Indian Army hockey team. On behalf of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association, the president, Mr. S. A. Carr, gave each man a silver medallion, specially struck as a souvenir of the New Zealand tour. In thanking the association tor the presentations, Captain R. R. B. Falcon said he knew the men were genuinely sorry the tour was over. They were truly grateful for many kindnesses shown to them, and when the men returned to their native villages they would tell of the way' they had been entertained by the Sahibs in the white country. Each Indian player was also presented by Mr. L. 0. Kent, president of the Auckland Hockey Association, with a silver fenileai badge, as & souvenir of the visit to Auckland. Captain Falcon who is at present in Auckland on leave from India, and who has been of great assistance to the Hockey Association during the team's visit, has been made a hfe member of the Auckland Association.
