HOME-MADE FELT HAT.
A good felt hat can be made for a little girl out of an old felt one. Gut off brim, and turn inside out. Turn up front. Cut up back about from bottom, leaving about lin. between each slit. Now pleat over till you get the size of child's head, and neatly sew. Take two yards of ribbon a shade lighter than the hat to trim it, leaving enough for a couple of streamers. You will have a hat for the cost of 4d or 6d.
