TRANSPORTING EGGS.
To transport eggs safely, put a newspaper in the bottom of a box or basket, place on it a layer of eggs so closely that there will be no room for them to roll. Place two thicknesses of newspaper Over this layer, then put in another layer of eggs, and so on. Upon the last layer of eggs place a covering of a little more weight (an old shawl will answer). In this way eggs can be transported in large baskets or boxes over rough roads without danger of breaking.
