RIPE TOMATOES.
Sir,—As showing the mildness of the saason, locally, I am now eating tomatoes ripened in the open sir. Sojai/ years ago that was the point that struck a lady visitor from Home. Ripe tomatoes in the open air and apples on the trees in June, which month she said corresponded to their December. Sam A. Browne. Clevedon, July 3, 1926.
