DAIRY PRODUCE PRICES.
LONDON BUTTER MARKET. STRIKE RATES STILL IN FORCE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. {Reed. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. May 13. The maximum prices fixed for butter and cheeso at the beginning of the strike will continue in force until further notice. There was a good trade on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, when voluntary labourers handled large quantities efficiently, but to-day there was but little demand. Twenty-four lorry loads of dairy produce were convoyed to Covent Garden today. The following cablegram from A. J. Mills and Company, Limited, London, was received yesterday by Mr. V 7. W. Bowker: —Butter: Tho prices fixed by the Government are unchanged. New Zealand, first grade, salted 1725, urisalted 1745. Cheese: New Zealand, first grade, white and coloured, 935. The men have not yet resumed work and deliveries are still difficult. A fair quantity of butter lias been released bv factories.
