ELABORATE SLEEVES.

Elaborate sleeves come more and more into notice, says a well-known writer. The ' sleeve itself is—quite often—of eccentric outline and then it is trimmed with frills, ruchings or very narrow bands of fur. For coats the pagoda sleeve is a great favourite hut many of tlu> new blouses and dresses show sleeves of exaggerated " bishop" outline, with wide frills falling over the wrists. All the new sleeves are set in at the armhole, and are not cut in kimono fashion. As a rule the shoulder line is long, and the armhole itself of moderate size. Happily there is, at the moment, no appearance, of fulness on the shoulder, but a shorttime ago a famous dressmaker made a deliberate attempt lo revive interest in "puffed sleeves."
