BLACK TAFFETA COATS.
Black taffeta coats, usually much quilted or tucked, pleated or flounced, are so fashionable that they deserve a word aT! to themselves. Sometimes the line is straight, though full, and sometimes the taffeta is bunched below the waist-line in a manner that is very becoming to the right wearer of the coat. The collars of taffeta coats are often large and important, and almost anything in the way of originality and picturesqueness may be done with the sleeves. The coat linings, whether figured or plain, are always very beautiful. A black taffeta coat will be among the very " right" things to possess for the whole year.
