MURRAY DEFEATS TROWERN. I [I!Y TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, Friday. For the light-weight championship of New Zealand 'and a purse of £2OO, Lcs Murray, holder, easily defeated Reg, Trowem on points. In the first few rounds the fight was fuiriy even, Murray making good use of a light left to the face, while Trowern went mainly for the body with both hands. Later the champion brought his well-known left rip to the body into play, following repeatedly with a right hook. The fight took place in His Majesty s Theatre, which was crowded.
