FILMS AND THE CHURCH.
MOUNT EDEN ENTERPRISE. SUCCESSFUL INAUGURATION. The first screening of a motion picture programme in connection with the community campaign of the Mount Eden Congregational Church, under the direction of the Itev. Stanley Morrison, took place last evening in the school hall. There was a large attendance. Mr. E. 11. Potter, Mayor of Mount Eden, opened the proceedings with a short address, in which ho said that all present knew Mr. Morrison sufficiently well to be confident that lie would, carry, on the work he had commenced in an efficient and proper manner. Mr. Morrison then gave a lecturette on the subject of "Abraham Lincoln," and the cause for which he worked. The film "Abraham Lincoln" was then screened and a motion picture gazette completed the programme. Music was provided by an orchestra. Another screening will be held next Thursday, when a different subject will be taken.
