PUKEKOHE AFFAIRS.
MAIN TRUNK EXPRESSES. [by telegraph.—-own correspondent.] PUKEKOHE, Thursday. The Pukekohe Chamber of Commerce met last evening, the president, Mr. 11. 11. Pattle, in the chair. It was decided to invite Mr. H. Welsh, commercial agent for the Railway Department, to discuss with the executive of this chamber the question of a main trunk express each way stopping at Pukekohe daily. It was pointed out that the Papaktira and Tunkau chambers supported the Piikekolio chamber in its request. Arrangements were completed with the tutorial director of the Auckland branch of the. Workers' Educational Association for a series of five lectures to he. delivered at monthly meetings of the chamber.
