WIRELESS OPERATIONS.
CONFERENCE RESOLUTIONS. INQUIRY RECOMMENDED.. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. May 5. The Wireless Conference passed a resolution in favour of the appointment of a Royal Commission to inquiire into the question of wireless grievances generally, including copyright, patents and royalties. The conference adopted the report of a .sub-committee in favour of providing funds to estahlish a scientific laboratory and conducting radio research. It- also adopted the report of the Copyrights Committee, which recommended that as broadcasting is a-public utility it should be freed from all restrictions; and impositions which tend to hamper its development, including copyright-fees.
