SUPPORT FOR STRIKERS. GERMANY AND HOLLAND. NO COAL AND NO PRODUCE. / FRENCH LABOUR SYMPATHETIC.

Reports from Berlin state that £!ie onions of the transport workers, dock labourers and seamen at Essen have ordered their members to cease working ships which are trying to take coal to England. Tho strike in Britain lias already affected German ports. Vessels scheduled to sail for England have cancelled their departure in view of the impossibility of coaling in Britain. Several British steamers are held up at Hamburg and Bremen. The German-American liners are omitting Southampton from their itinerary. A message from Amsterdam states that the Batavier Lino has suspended its London services. Other lines are contemplating taking similar action. Dutch exporters of vegetables, meats and dairy produce have already snspended shipments to England. The Hook of Holland services to Harwich will bo suspended after to-night. Despatches from Paris state that the General Federation of Labour • has convened a conference of miners, railwavmen, dock-workers and seamen to discuss the question of supporting the British strikers. A definite decision has not yet been reached, but tho French unions have assured the British workers of their sympathy and have promised to contribute to the success of the strike.
