INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
MARCH NOTIFICATIONS. NO INFANTILE PARALYSIS. Cases of infectious diseases reported in the Auckland Province during March showed a decrease of 33, compared with tho previous month, tho totals being 65 and 98 respectively. There were 31 cases of tuberculosis, nine of which were in the Central Auckland district, seven in the South Auckland district, IT in the North Auckland, and four in the Corornandel-Opotiki districts. Scarlet fever cases numbered 25, the numbers for the respective districts l boing 11, nine three and two There were 35 cases, of diphtheria, 32 , of jvhicb were reported in the Central Auckland district, and five cases of enteric , fever. Tho remaining notifications were as follow:—Puerperal septicaemia, 4; pneumonia, 7; erysipelas, 6: eclampsia, 4; septicaemia miscarriage, 6; cerebrospinal 'meningitis, 1; hydatids, 1; tetanus, 1. There were no cases of infantile paralysis.
