OPENING DAY AT HAMILTON. [bv TEr.EGU.\rir. — press association.] HAMILTON, Friday. The Waikato Lawn Tennis Association's annual tourney commenced on the Rosstrevor Street courts to-day. The weather was showery in the morning and the opening of play vtsj delayed for an hour. Fine weather prevailed this afternoon and tho courts proved in excellent condition. I'lay was optional to-day but a large number of competitors took part and good progress was made with the tourney. Results are a« follow: Men's Championship Singles.
