FEDERAL COMMISSION.
PROBLEMS OF MIGRATION. DEVELOPMENT OF RESOURCES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association, (Rccd. 12.35 a.m.) SYDNEY. March 31. Speaking at an official luncheon at the Sydney Show the Prime Minister, Mr. S. M. Bruce, said the Government had decided to appoint a Migration and Developmental Commission. This would comprise representatives of all sections of the community. The commission would ensider all schemes submitted under the migration agreement with the Britisli Government. It would also consider and adviso the Government on the whole question of migration, national development and the utilisation of Australia's national resources. Only in this way could these questions be removed from the arena of party politics and placed on the higher national plane their importance demanded.
