CRIME AMONG YOUTH.
JUDGE'S SERIOUS VIEW. PERIODS FOR REFORMATION. [ 11V TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCIIUP.CII, Wednesday. No fewer than seven lads whoso ages range from 19 to 21, all born in New Zealand, were sentenced this morning to various terms of reformative treatment by Mr. Justice Adams, who commented strongly on the array of young New Zealand criminals, saying it was very deplorable. His Honor said tho lads' crimes might bo accounted for by accident, but the position was sufficiently grave to deserve at least special attention, particularly in vimv of the fact that recently in tho Courts there had been an alarming measure, of what could only be described as "moral obL'quity" in young men.
