RATES AND EXPENDITURE. [I)Y TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORIIRBPONIIENT. | HAMILTON. Wednesday. For tho year ending March 31, 1926, the total of all European rates struck by the Raglan County Council amounted to £24,057, and of this £23,783 has been collected, leaving £274 outstanding. This represents a collection of approximately 99 per cent, of the total rates. During tho past year £49,000 has been expended on various county roads, mostly in metalling,- and somcv'.W.OOO cubic yards of metal have been quawied, delivered, and spread on various rpa#s during that period, a Record expenditure for any one year in the county.
