IMMIGRATION POLICY.
CRITICISM OF THE SYSTEM. Immigration was the main subject of discussion at last evening's meeting of the New Zealand Natives' Association. Several members spoke against the policy of bringing such large numbers of migrants from Great Britain. It was unanimously resolved that a deputation should wait on the Prime Minister and that protests should be made in connection with a number of aspects of the present system of ■ immigration. The association decided to take steps to ascertain the names of firms and individuals who have work offering and are willing to give it to unemployed New Zealanders. It was also decided to ascertain the attitude of the Employers' Association on the matter.
