PROBLEMS OF FINANCE.
"Problems ahead of the Tramway Board will require the closest attention possible," reported the Works and Traffic Committee to the Christchurch Board, in a footnote to an outline of tho new award for tho union.
"The Tramway Union has received two increases in tho last two years, tho two totalling £6500 per annum. To this has to be added the Government addition of over £55000 a year to tho board's power 1)111."
