MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
Sir James Parr, who has been for a number of years a member of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, will bo entertained by that, body on March 31 at a complimentary luncheon, in recognition of his appointment as High Commissioner for New Zealand in London.
Tho Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, attended a tour of inspection of swamp lands near Gordonton, arranged by the Waikato Swamp Development League, yesterday morning. In the afternoon he opened the new swimming baths at the Hillcrest School, and in the evening was entertained at a banquet. He later loft for Wellington by train.
The Hon. A. 1). McLeod, Minister of Lands, and the Hon. 0. J. Hawken, Minister of Agriculture, reached Hamilton from Wellington by the limited express yesterday morning. They visited the Ruakura experimental farm and attended the inspection of swamp lauds. In the evening they were present at the banquet to the Hon J. A. Young. Later Mr. McLeod left fo." Wellington by train. Mr. Hawken will leave for Wellington to-day. The Hon. R, F. Bollard, Minister of internal Affairs, who attended the inspection of swamp lands at Gordonton, left Hamilton for Wellington last evening. Tlio Hon. G. J. Anderson, Minister of Mines and Marine, arrived at Westport from Murchison and Reefton yesterday, states a Press Association message. tn the evening he met deputations regarding the Buller Gorge railway, West Coast coastal road, harbour improvements and colliery reserves. The Minister officially opens the bridge at Karamea to-day.
