NO CAUSE FOR ANXIETY.

MRS. BECK'S CONFIDENCE. No anxiety regarding the fate of the schooner Franco is felt by Mrs. Beck, wife of Mr. R. H. Beck, the scientist who Is in charge of tho bird survey being mado by the ship. Mrs. Beck, who is living in Auckland. While her husband is in New Zealand waters, says that she last heard from her husband on February 9 when the France was in Lyttelton, although' a telegraphic message gave the date of sailing as six days earlier. Mrs. Beck states it was the intention then to proceed to Stewart Island and, if the weather was unsuitable for the expedition's work, to go on to the Chatham Islands or some of the other isolated groups to the south of New Zealand.
