NAVAL AVIATOR'S DEATH.

AMERICAN FLEET OFFICER. WELL. KNOWN IN AUCKLAND. A crash while carrying oui flying exercises at the San IHfigo naval base a few months ago caused the death of Lieutenant Frederick Kahn, an aviator of the United States Navy who was on board the battleship Colorado during the visit of the American fleet to Auckland last August, The caus© of the accident was the snapping of a portion of the areoplane's structure while in flight. Lieutenant Kahn was senior aviation officer on the Colorado when in Auckland and frequently took part in air exercises over the city and harbour.. He was leader in the several displays of formation flying given by the fleet's aviators.
