AUCKLAND BTOCK EXCHANGE.

There was little change in conditions on the Auckland shareir.arket yesterday and the demand for Government securities was well maintained, The 1938 issue of Inscribed Stock changed hands at £96 ss, late buyers offering the sale figure, although no holders responded. In local body debentures Auckland Harbour Board, 1936, sold at £B3 10s. In banks business was done in New Zealands at 57s 9d, threepence above the previous day's sale figure. Closing holders were at 58s, buyers 57s 9d. In insurances New Zealands were available at 37s Bd, inquiry dropping threepence to 36s 9d. A sale of South British was reported at 555, more being available at this figure, buyers offering 54s 9d. In gas the contributing issue of Aucklands sold at 8s 4d, late holders asking 8s 6d, with buyers at 8s 3d.- In miscellaneous lines demand for Tarauaki Oils .was unaltered at 10s, with holders slightly lower at lis 6d. Holders of Wilsons Cementadvanced threepence to 38s 6d, inquiry still being at 37s 6d. In mining Moanataiaris sold at Is 6d, la t a holders being at Is 7d, with buyers at Is 4d. A sale of Nonpareils was reported at Is, closing quotations being holders Is 3d, buyers lid. Waihis were again available at. 23s 6d, buyers dropping to 235. The following sales took place:—New Zealand Inscribed Stock, 1938, £B6 ss; Auckland Harbour Board, debentures, 1936, £B3 10s; Bank of New Zealand, 57s 9d; South British Insurance, 555; Auckland Gas (con.), &s 4d; Moariataiari, Is 6d; Nonpareil, Is.
