Sir Francis Wemyss and J. Murray had a hard-fought game, lasting five hours, in the open championship. In the doubles Mrs. Watkins and Mrs. 5 Pitcaithley, Hawke's Bay, won from Sir Francis Wemyss and Mrs. Leach. Results. Open Championship.—Miss Hesketh beat Mrs. Glass, 2—l. Ladies' Championship.'—Mrs. Leach beat Mrs. Feast, 26—18; Mrs. beat Mrs. O'Donnel], 26—11; Mrs. Ganibnll beat Lady Wemyss, 26—10; Mrs. Leach beat Mrs. McDowell, 26—10; Miss Hesketh beat Mrs. Smith, 26—10;' Mrs. Johnson beat Mrs. Tiffin, 26—16. Championship Doubles.—Mrs. Johns,on and A. E. G. Ross beat Mesdames Horn and Glass, 26 —1; Mrs. Watkins and Mi's. Pitcaithley beat, Sir Francis Wemyss and Mrs. Leach, 26—24.
