LORD ALLENBY'S VISIT.
THE REVISED PROGRAMME. CIVIC RECEPTION TO-MORROW. Field-Marshal Lord Allenby, who is due to reach Auckland from Sydney, with Lady Allenby, by the Ulimaroa early tomorrow morning, will be accorded a civic reception in the Town Hall at noon. Tho Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, has invited the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association to take part iri the proceedings. It is hoped that as large a number of returned men as possible will be present
During their few hours' stay in Auckland, Lord and Lady Allenby will be the guests of the Governor-General. Sir Charles Fergusson, at Government House.
The Auckland Hebrew Congregation and the Auckland Zionist Society, having expressed- a' wish to pay their respects to Lord Allenby. as the liberator of.Pales-; tine, it has been arranged that a small deputation from both bodies, and from the committee which was responsible for establishing the first infant welfare centre in Palestine on the Now Zealand system, shall wait upon him at Government House in the course of the day. Lord and Lady Allenby, who are spending only a limited time in New Zealand, will leave for Wellington by train tomorrow night. I They are to return to Auckland on February 15, and will sail the next day for Vancouver. Colonel j. H. Whyte, : N.Z.S.C., has been appointed by the Government to accompauy Lord Ailenby on his tour of tho Dominion.
