SIX THQUSAHD DELEGATES. LIVELY SCENES ANTICIPATED. CALCUTTA, Dec. 24. Scenes of Babel are likely to be witnessed at Cawnpore shortly when the Indian National Congress holds its annual session. About 6000 delegates expected to attend, and all sections of the extremists will be represented; but it is not known if any Liberals or genuine Independents will be there. A resolution favouring a boycott of British goods is talked of, as well as others relating to the'position of Indiana overseas. The delegation of South African Indians will be present, as they purpose seeing Gandhi.. The Khilafat Conference will also sit at the same time, but only a few of the Sikhs are attending. While the main fight in the congress will bo between the orthodox factions, led by Gandhi, and Motilal Nehru, and those Swarajists who believe in a working constitution whero the Government can make genuine overtures, the Communists will declare their own programme.
