The Angora correspondent of the Westminster Gazette states that Mustapha Kemal Pasha, President of the Turkish Republic, who has been conferring with the military leaders, has declared that Turkey cannot afford to go to war over Irak. He added that a visit from a British mission, not including the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Mr. L. C. M. S. Amery, would bo welcomed with a view to negotiations regarding Mosul being opened. A. message from Bagdad states that General Darly, Chief Adviser to the Irak army, reports that Mosul is secure against Turkish attack. It is estimated that 15,(XX) British and Irak troops are assembled on the frontier. a,AIDS BY TIJMS. THE SYRIAN FRONTIER. CONCENTRATION OF TROOPS. A. and N.Z. LONDON, Jan. L The Daily Mail's Aleppo correspondentasserts that the Angora Government is supporting Turkish raids on the Syrian frontier. Ho reports that largo Turkish concentrations have taken placo at Diarbekr, Mardin and Jezire.
