NEW WIRELESS STATION

RUGBY'S OPENING TRAFFIC. SATISFACTORY TESTS MADE. A. and N.Z. LONDON; Jan. L The first day's traffic at the sew Rugby wireless station was most satisfactory. The tests in America showed tha>t Rugby's signals are three times stronger than those from Nauen. The British supervisor has been informed from New Zealand that the small steamer anchored at Ross Bay picked up the Rugby station's news bulletin at a strength of nine, whereas six is good readable reception. He says that this test assures all mail steamers travelling to and from Australia and New Zealand receving bulletins twice a day during the whole voyage. The officials do not expect the Australian beam station at Skegness \m be ready before June at the earliest.
