THE YEAR'S RAINFALL.
MEAGRE IN HAWKE'S BAY. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] ' NAPIER, Saturday. The rainfall in Napier during 1925 totalled 25.51 in., compared with 56.72 in. in 1924. The average over the past 10 years is about 34in. WELLINGTON, Saturday. Notwithstanding an excessively wet winter, Wellington's rainfall for the year was only 52.17 in., or 4.08 in. above the average. The early part of the year and the last two months were comparatively dry. [BY .TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENTS.] THAMES. Saturday. The rainfall at Thames for the month of • December totalled 1.61 in. Rain fell on seven days. The total fall in December, 1924, was 5.16 in. The total fall for the year was 41.96in.| compared -wit.i 65.07 in. in 1924 and £i2.93in. in 1923. . -ROTORUA, Saturday. The rainfall registered at the Sophia Street Observation Station for the • year 1925 was 67.66 inches, against 77.24 inches in 1924. The average for the district over • the past 50 years is 54in. The heav::\ t rainfall for any single month was in June, when 13.18 inches was registered. May of 1924 exceeded this by .15 of an inch.
