THE WAIHEKE FIXTURE. DETAILS OF THE RESULTS. Although Ih'i weather was unfavourable and two of the principal yacht races had to be abandoned for lack of sufficient entrios, the Waiheko Regatta at Cowes Buy yesterday proved far from unsuccessful. A strong south-south-west wind waß blowing, with frequent rain-squallß, tut tlio water in the bay waa not rough. Thoro was some delay in starting On account of some of the marks havinjr shifted and requiring to be replaced. The yaqjita were all well reefed down, and two had sails blown out. A third, the I'l-fooler Betiy, capsized. Tile entries of keel yachts and 26ft. mullet boats were insufficient, a number of such craft having doubtless been delayed on their return from the North, and tho races for both classes had to be abandoned.

The bay was well filled with boats of all kinds, and a large number of excursionists went down from Auckland by steamer. Tho auxiliary ketch Portland was flagship. S Class (18ft.). —Aratu Muru (4m), Hi 30m 30s. Result: Aratu, 1, Muru, 2. tulip split her sail and retii.ad. Millington's liinemoa Four auxiliaries started in the rac<s for that class. Mr. Ct A. East's Dio, 12ip, a.fter finishing second to Mr. H. Mortimoro s Kuktt, 4m, won on time. The other two boats withdrew. The principal lannch event was the Whangarei Harbour Board's Cup race. Half a dozen boats started. Mr. R. Dempster's Wyoma, lGlm, finished first, Mr. W. Mil; lington's Hinemoa. 21m. was second nnd Mr. J. Reynold's Florence. 27m, third. The corrected times gave the same order by small margins. Of the five starters m the ocean raco from Russell to Whangarei, Nparti 11. was first. Waitero second and Starlight third. The margin of the win was 5m 4s.
