A COMING-OUT DANCE.

AUCKLAND DEBUTANTES. A very delightful coming-out dance was given last evening by Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Colbeck at their home in Market Road, at which their daughter, Miss Colbeck, their niece, Miss Wallev, and Miss Rogers made their debut.. The rooms were charmingly decorated with pink rambler roses, and the scene presented in the ballroom was very bright and festive. A happy gathering of young people danced merrily to the excellent music of a Hawaiian band. The i wide verandahs, which were covered in with awning, were used as sitting-out ; rooms between the dances, and they also i were converted into a large supper room, ! where long tables were decked with pink roses, over which pink shaded lights shed a rosy glow. Mrs. Colbeck received her guests wearing a frock of black marocain embroidered in crystal beads and large silk roses. The three debutantes were charmingly frocked in white. "Miss Coibeck's frock was of georgette, cut in simple lines and encrusted with silver beads. Miss Waller wore white satin with godet of tulle caught at the hips with clusters of silver grapes, and finished at the shoulders with tulle streamers. Miss Rogers wore white charmeuse with a flared skirt, the deep waistbelf tunic being outlined with water lilies and strands of green foliage. Their bouquets were of pink, white and pale yellow roses, and carnations. Mrs. 'Waller wore a frock of ' black romaine embroidered in silver and an amethyst tulle scarf. Mrs. Rogers was in a frock of black satin beaute and black lace finished with strands of jet.
