If the weather were fine and hot, however, he did not think they would win the matches in three days. He would prefer that they should be played out in four days. County cricket should be of secondary consideration Ln the. test match period, even if it was not totally suspended. Batsmen and bowlers could not give of their best if they were playing every day. He would like to see the test match side tried out on at least two occasions before it met the Australians. Then, with any. necessary alterations, the same team should lead off in the test matches. This is; What is the position ii fielder accidentally knocks a ball over a boundary after the batsmen have already run five!
