Kim our has an effective upper-cut. and his left swing connected well occasionally, but he lacked MacDonald'a hitting power , < r- -mi For a preliminary contest, Griffiths, Rat, Slbs., Dunedin, beat Mark Carroii 9st.. Wanganui, in a ton rounds contest for ' a purse of £'so. Griffiths was the more clever boxer, and was too fast for Carroll.
