After discharge here she will proeeet: to v Portland to load cement for Wellington and Lyttelton. MAIMOA CLEARS FREMANTLE. Advice has been received by L. D. Nathan and Company, Ltd., the local agents for the Shaw, Savili and Albion steamer Maimoa, . that the vessel left Fremantle last Friday for Melbourne, where she is due next Saturday. The Maimoa should arrive in the Dominion early uext. month. She has been delayed in Australia almost since the comSiencemeht of the British seamen's strike. The vessel is en route from Liverpool, and , has general cargo from that port, as well as a la'kc quantity of maize from CapeInre. It is understood the original crew returned to work.

RON A DUE TO-MORROW. The Colonial Sugar Refining Company's steamer Rona is due at Auckland from Fiji to-morrow, and will berth at Chelsea to unload raw sugar. WAINUI TO RESUME. The Union Company's coastal steamer Wainui. which is at present berthed at the North Wall, is expected to resume her running in the Auckland-East Coast service next Tuesday. THE TAHITI. En route from Sydney to San Francisco, the Union Company's Trans-Pacific steamer Tahiti arrived at Wellington yesterday morning. She is scheduled to resume her voyage again to-day. KAIAPOI LEAVES ADELAIDE. Cable advice has been received of the departure of* the Union Company's steamer Kaiapoi from Adelaide for New Plymouth. She later proceeds to Auckland. Wellington and Wanganui. WIRRALL DISCHARGING. The new steamer Wirrall left yesterday afternoon to continue unloading,cargo from Montreal at Wellington. She later proceeds to Lyttelton and Dunedin, thence to Australia. MAUNGANUI DUE AT 7 A.M. TO-DAY. The Union Company's intercolonial steamer Maungamii, advised by tireless yesterday ttiat she ejtpects to arrive at Auckland from Sydnev at 7 a.m. to-day. She will berth at the Queen's Wharf and will return to Sydney on Friday. CORINTHIC TO LOAD. The Corinthic leaves Auckland to-morrow to continue her loading for Southampton and London. After the completion of cargo operations she will sail finally from Wellington at daylieht on November 18. HERTFORD UNLOADING. The New Zealand Shipping Comnany advises that the Hoin Line steamer Hertford, I now discharging the Auckland portion of her cargo from West of England ports, will leave for Soxith on Friday to continue unloading. The steamer Kaponga. which was recently built in England for the Union Company, j and is on her maiden voyage, left Quebec ! on Saturday en rout* to New Zealand. A wireless message has been received at i the chief post office from the steamer Whai ngape stating that the coal hulk Onyx is ! waterlogged and floating in the vicinity of latitude 36 degrees 45 minutes south and | longitude 176 degrees 44 minutes east. The ; Whangapo, which stated that the floating ! hulk was a danger to shipping, took the ! Oryx in tow on Thursday evening, with the | intention of sinking her off Cuvier Island, I as she was condemned as unsafe. Immediate steps will be taken to remove the danger. NIAGARA FROM VANCOUVER. The Union Company's R.M.S. Niagara arrived at Auckland yesterday morning j with passengers, mails and cargo from Van- j c'ouver. The voyage across the Pacific was i made in fine weather, but was marred by the death of Mr. Charles J. Sheppnrd. a second-class waiter, who was found dead in j his cabin at 2 a.m. on Sunday morning. : An examination by the ship's doctor led : to the conclusion that death was due to i heart failure. The vessel was stopped at i 4 p.m. the same dav, and a burial service ; was conducted by the Rev. Robertson Orr, j who was a passenger. The Niagara left Vancouver on October , 21 and Victoria a day later. A fine trip j of five days was experienced to Honolulu, i while the run to Suva which was reached on j November 6 was made in practically ideal I conditions.
