FALL FROM MOTOR-CYCLE.
MR. MORTON'S ACCIDENT,
COLLISION WITH TAR SPRAYER
The condition of Mr. P. H. Morton, who was admitted to the hospital on Friday suffering from injuries to the head, was reported yesterday to show a slight improvement. Mr. Morton had fully regained consciousness yesterday, but was unable to recall any details of the accident. It has been ascertained that while he was riding down Mount St. John Avenue on Friday morning his motor-cycle skidded and collided with a tar-sprayer that was being used at the foot of the hill. The workmen assisted him and placed his cycle in a garden near-by, where it was located by his relatives on Saturday. Mr. Morton then apparently walked unaided to the Junction, Broadway, and boarded a Great South Road car with the intention of going to his mother's home in Momona Road. He rapidly became worse, however, and, being unable to tell the conductor of the car where he wished to get off, was carried to the terminus. Both the motorman and the conductor stated they did their utmost to assist Mr. Morton, but as he rapidly lost consciousness they were unable to do more than help him from the car and ring for medical aid.
