OLD MAN DROWNED.
BODY FOUND IN HARBOUR
FORMER WELL-KNOWN ATHLETE
The body of John Gallagher, aged 70, whose home is in Essex Road, Mount Eden, was found floating in the harbour, near the Municipal Fish Markets, on Saturday afternoon. The body was recovered by the police and an inquest was opened before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., and adjourned after evidence of identification had been taken. The deceased was at one time wellknown as a boxer and athlete at Thames.
