This marks the development of the wide encircling movement which is designed to cut off a slice of Riff territory eastward of the Ajdir-Kiffane line. French infantry forces continue to advance northward up the Valley of Chaouia, toward Ajdir, Wholesale submissions by the tribesmen in the neighbourhood of the territories which were recently captured by the French and Spaniards are claimed to have taken place.
