TO-DAY'S WEATHER. HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last evening:— A disturbance of tropical character is developing north-westward of the Dominion, and cloudy, unsettled weather is indicated, with heavy rain following, especially in northern and east coast districts. Easterly to north-easterly winds, freshening and increasing strong to gale. Seas rough. Barometer, midnight, 29.75 in. ■ falling. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening that the indications were for moderate to strong easterly to ( northerly winds, aud cloudy to overcast conditions, with rain following generally.
