The United States Lawn Tennis Association announces the resumption of tennis relations with Germany which j were suspended during the war. Ameri- | can players may now enter for German | tournaments and Germans may play in all i American tournaments except the national I championship. The latter carries interj national recognition. The association expects to shortly re- ! move a,li restrictions. It also favours Ger- | man participation in the Davis Cup contests. FRENCH GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP. | MASSY AND COMPSTON TIE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association, j (Reed. 8.35 p.m.) PARIS. Oct. 6. In the French open golf championship I at Chant illy l'T2 holes) Arnand Massy and | A. E. W. Compston (England) tied in 291. They will play two rounds to-mor-row for the title. Massy's rounds were 75, 76, 68 (a record, including holing the ninth in one) and 72. The third and fourth round scores of the others were: Compston, 74 and 70; | Allis, 74 and 73; Boomer, 73 and 76.
