RANDWICK SPUING MEETING THE CRAVEN PLATE. VICTORY FOR WINDBAG. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 9 p.m.), SYDNEY. Oct. 7. The Australian Jockey Club's Spring Meeting was advanced a further stage today. The weather was fine and the num- i ber present was estimated at 30.000. The race track was in capital order. The Craven Plate brought out a field of five, and much interest was centred in Windbag's prospects of registering a sixth successive victory. The Hawk was popularly regarded as Windbag's most dangerous opponent. Windbag was always galloping attractively and when he was called upon to go up and win his race he never caused his large circle of admirers any anxiety.
