SEQUEL TO BURGLARY.
YOUTH BEFORE THE COURT. REMANDED WITHOUT BAIL. The youth, William Howell, aged 19, who was caught by detectives as he emerged from the residence of Mr. J. G. Mackay. in Havelock Street on Tuesday evening, appeared in the Police Court yesterday on a charge of breaking and entering and stealing a glove and lljd in cash. On the application of Chief-Detective Cummings a remand was granted until next Thursday, bail being refused.
