MOTORISTS IN COURT.
TRAFFIC BY-LAW CASES. SPEEDING AND NEGLIGENCE. A number of motorists were prosecuted in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., for breaches of Che bye-laws. For speeding across Grafton Bridge Ham- Bay ley, Hugh Campbell, Sydney Nelson, Ernest Parris, Donovan Raine, Cyril Worrall, were each fined 10s. Eric Donnelly, William Mouatt, Alfred McQuoid and William McSkane were each fined i',2 for cutting corners. For similar breaches William Sinclair and William John Monk were each fined £l, and John Atkinson was ordered to pay costs. George Yallop was fined 10s for dangerous driving. For leaving cars unattended Herbert Braithwaite, Mrs. Beryl Louisson and Francis Maxwell were each fined 10s. For turning to the right at the intersection of Queen and Customs Streets during hours when through traffic only was permitted, Allan B. Fisher," Roy Brown, Geoffrey de Mont a Ike and Sydney Phillips were each ordered to pay costs. A bus driver, Vincent Corigliano, was fined £5 for negligent driving. William T. Gilmonr was fined £2 for driving past a stationary tramcar. A penalty of £2 was imposed on Allan Forrester for speeding. A charge of dangerous driving against Harold Painter was dismissed.
